Contractors – we all need to become one!

Well, we are remodeling our master bathroom and so far this is how it has gone.

First:

We received a name from a friend who lived next door to this man, so we thought…oh, yeah, he will work out.  No…he came over, very nicely dressed, which made me think…oh boy, this quote might be out of our budget.  He looked, listened, took pictures and then nothing.  Not a word, email, text, phone call.  He ghosted us!

Second:

Second man to come out was on time, nicely dressed in blue jeans and nice shirts, so I thought he dresses according to what he is doing.  We had a nice chat about what I wanted done and then somehow I stumped him.  I asked for shelves in the shower.  What? Why? Really?? Did I just ask for something he had never heard of?  I guess so! I told him I wanted some shelves so that I could put towels in there for when you get done with your shower. I was gonna roll up the towels, kinda like a hotel does for it’s guests. He then tells me…there is no way to put shelves in here…they will accumulate moister from the shower!  Mind you, the shelves were going to go where you get in the shower, not under the actual shower head! He just had this dumb look on his face, took some pictures and said he would get back with me on the shelve issue and quote.  Well, one day later we received a text from him that stated…”I’m sorry, we are not able to complete your project at this time.” Really???? I just had to laugh. I guess the whole shelve thing was too much for him!

Third:

Third man to come, well, I guess I shouldn’t say he came, because he never showed up!! No phone call, no text, just good ol fashion, ghost!  Who does that? I guess he has too much work and doesn’t need my money. Wow, I wish I could say that. How do people stay in business????

Fourth:

This company I called on the phone (from HomeAdvisor).  Very nice lady who took all my information and then stated that she would be sending me a link and I could put in what exactly I wanted done and also attach some pictures of my bathroom.  I thought…ohhhhh, wow, someone who is current with technology and they will be so on the ball with me.  So I received the link  but was kinda wondering why I had to put my information in AGAIN, but I did and I took pictures and posted them with no problem and hit submit. I am waiting to hear back from them.  We will see.

Fifth:

This person was so booked with appointments, which made me think good and bad thoughts.  Good that there were so many people wanting them to come and give them quotes and bad that it was gonna take so long for the quote. I need to get this work done! So I will be patience and wait until the appointment for hopefully non-disappointment!

Peace out!
