Sad day when you lay a President down.

As all of the world knows, President Bush died and his funeral was today.  I was young when he became president. I was just graduating from high school. So, my perspective on politics was very bad if even at all.  What I do remember is his love for his wife and family.  My favorite picture is of him with his family in their bedroom.  Sounds kinda bad when you write it but if you could see it, it might be different in your mind.  Picture yourself, your wife or husband with three or four children and two dogs just laughing and wrestling.  That was happiness!

He often told stories of his letter writing to Barbara when he was fighting in the service which was sweet when we think about it.  That was how people communicated then.  It was such a very different time period.  One which sometimes people wish they could return to.

The good thing is he is remembered for so many good things.  Wish we all could be remembered like his eulogy.  I guess when people die you do think of all the good things they did or said.  It is hard to damn the dead sometimes.

Well, thank you Mr. President for your service and commitment to this country and your wife.

Peace Out!
